Youth Book Discussion - "#OneChoice: How Ten Seconds Can Change our Life"

  • Simsbury Public Library 725 Hopmeadow Street Simsbury, CT, 06070 United States (map)

Join us for this book discussion aimed at youth aged 12 to 17 years old. Nick and Jack Savage both passed away at a graduation party in June 2015 after mixing alcohol with opioids.  They were just 19 and 18 years old, respectively, Nick having just completed his freshman year in college, and Jack having just graduated from high school.  Their mother, Becky, is a substance use prevention specialist, and has been a registered nurse for over 30 years.  She wrote the book in the voices of her two eldest sons, and founded The 525 Foundation after their deaths, to educate teens and families and raise awareness about the dangers of alcohol and prescription drug misuse and abuse. Adults are welcome to attend, too! The first 20 registrants will receive a free copy of the book. REGISTER HERE, then be sure to call (860) 390-1391 or email info@apromisetojordan.org to request your free copy of the book.
